Cecina de León is the most emblematic product of the province of León. It is protected by the PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) and is very well known and appreciated all over Spain. Our cecina is made with meat selected from the best beef legs to undergo a unique production process both nationally and internationally.
The meat has a characteristic flavour, is not very salty and is not very fibrous in consistency. The effect of smoking gives the meat a characteristic aroma during the maturing process, supporting the flavours as a whole. Each of the pieces used in the production process is certified with the quality mark awarded, thanks to the approval of all the requirements laid down in the Regulation by the Cecina de León Regulatory Council, which ensures compliance with the Regulation, thus guaranteeing the absolute quality of the product.
